Canadian Certified Pedorthists are one of the few professionals which are trained and certified in the assessment of lower limb anatomy, muscle and joint function, and biomechanics. The assessment, design, manufacture and fitting of custom foot orthotics and footwear is our specialty.
Canadian Certified Pedorthists work in concert with medical doctors, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists and other related health professionals.
The initial pedorthic appointment serves to assess a client, and then the Pedorthist designs, manufactures and fits custom foot orthotics to help alleviate painful or debilitating conditions and abnormalities of the legs and feet. Canadian Certified Pedorthists will also make recommendations, individually fit, and modify orthopaedic or over-the-counter footwear to help achieve long term lower limb health and pain free activity. Sports bracing, compression hosiery and taping are also in Foot Works Pedorthic Services' offerings.
